How to drain your pool equipment in case of freezing temperatures:
The best thing for your pool is to keep the water flowing.
If the power goes out for more than 30 minutes to 1 hour then you will need to shut the breakers off and take out the drain plugs on your heater, pumps, and filter as well as open up the air relief on the top of the filter.
After you've done that, put as many blankets as you can over the top of the equipment to form an insolated dome over the top.

Be aware air reliefs and plugs may be frozen. Pouring hot water on drain plugs may assist this process. If you can't unscrew them the best you can do is try to remove most and cover all the equipment with blankets.
NEVER cover an open heat source with blankets.

Guide for Changing Actuators Positions
Determine which direction the actuator needs to be moved. This will depend on whether you want to direct water flow to the pool or the spa. The pool side usually has multiple pipes where as the spa side will have 1 pipe in most cases. We have pictures for reference.
1. Locate the 3-way switch on the pool spa actuator. This switch will have three positions: "1", "2", and "Off".
2. Determine which direction the actuator needs to be moved. This will depend on whether you want to direct water flow to the pool or the spa.
3. Move the 3-way switch to the desired position, either "1" or "2", depending on where you want the water flow directed.
4. Observe the water flow to make sure that it is directed to the correct location. You should see water flowing into the pool or spa, depending on the position of the 3-way switch.
5. If the water flow is not directed to the correct location, move the 3-way switch to the opposite position and observe the water flow again.
6. Once you're satisfied with the water flow, leave the 3-way switch in the "1" or "2" position, depending on where you want the water flow directed.
